Upcycling Design Center – Visual Identity
The identity for the Upcycling Design Center draws inspiration from the visionary work and philosophy of R. Buckminster Fuller. Rooted in the belief that “pollution is nothing but the resources we are not harvesting,” the logo reflects a systems-thinking approach to design, highlighting structure, reuse, and interconnectedness.
Using geometric forms reminiscent of Fuller’s geodesic thinking, the visual system is built around a modular hexagon motif, which adapts across formats while maintaining a consistent voice. The palette features earthy yet vibrant tones, emphasizing warmth and the energy of transformation. The hand-drawn and textured elements add a tactile, human layer, echoing the imperfect beauty of upcycling itself.
