On Vanitas / On Fragility – Poster Design

This poster was designed for the exhibition On Vanitas / On Fragility, held in Raahe. Drawing inspiration from the tradition of vanitas artworks, the visual language reflects themes of impermanence, decay, and the quiet beauty found in transience.

Using symbolic references such as muted tones, organic textures, and a carefully composed balance between emptiness and detail, the design evokes a sense of contemplative stillness. Much like historical vanitas still lifes, the poster invites the viewer to reflect on fragility—not only of life, but of memory, materials, and meaning.
